Long-tailed tit Most areas of woodland.
Great tit On alder tree near Dragonfly Pond.
Blue tit Maple Walk, the Lake area, Beech Walk.
Coal tit Kingfisher Pond area, also near Lake.
Marsh tit On holly bush alongside the Leat, near toilets.
Woodpigeon Large flocks seen most areas of woodlands.
Blackbird (with Redwings) Eating holly berries, top path towards the viewpoint. (10th Dec.)
Redwings (with Blackbirds) Eating holly berries, top path towards the viewpoint. (10th Dec.)
Robin Kingfisher Pond, Lake and Dragonfly Pond areas.
Wren Maple Walk, Dragonfly Pond area, Glow-worm rise and Beech Walk.
Bullfinch Male and female on silver birch near green works caravan.
Chaffinch Seen in small mixed flock, Beech tree near the Heathland (30th Dec)
Brambling Seen in small mixed flock, Beech tree near the Heathland (30th Dec)
Jay Beech Walk and Monument Pond area.
Rook Flying overhead, the Heathland.
Crow On top of fir tree near Log Cabin.
Goldcrest On fir trees near Log Cabin.
Nuthatch On oak tree, near Log Cabin and near Lake Classroom. (10th Dec.) Four males seen fighting on large beech tree by the Lake. (13th Dec.)
Buzzard Two soaring high above the Lake.
Grey Wagtail Dragonfly Pond and Monument Pond.
Treecreeper On oak tree near toilets (30th Dec)
Kingfisher Wetlands near the Hide (13th Dec).
Mallard 2 male and 2 female on Kingfisher Pond.
Moorhen Kingfisher Pond.
Pheasant Kingfisher Pond area.
Raven Flying over Wetlands near Kingfisher Pond.
Great Spotted Woodpecker (Female 13th Dec) On holly tree near the Lake. (Male 30th Dec) Monument Pond area.
Heron Flew out of ditch near main entrance.(13th Dec).
Cormorant (Juvenile) Seen by the Lake several times by Mike Manvill, early December.

Red Admiral, On fir tree trunk, back of log cabin (10th Dec).

 

Dragonflies

Common Darter (male and female).Seen on fence together, later breeding over lake (10thDecember).
