wings and tail. It has a very prominent white rump and pure white underparts. Size: 12-13cm tall |
Voice | Harsh chirrup, quite unlike other swallow-like birds. |
Habitat | Towns and inland freshwater. |
Food | Flying insects. |
Breeding Habits | 4-5 eggs in a mud dome under the eaves of house roofs, nests in colonies. |
Location in Wet Woodland | A flock of around 10-15 birds very often fed on flying insects over the wet woodland. Visible more often on dry, warmer days. |
