Juveniles seen Cabin rise area (5th July).

Great tit

Monument pond area.

Blue tit

Beech walk.

Coal tit

Heathlands area

Near Lake classroom on oak trees and Kingfisher pond.

Song thrush

Glow-worm rise area.

Blackbird

Maple walk. Beech walk.

Blackcap

(Male and female) Near hide.

Chiffchaff

Behind Log cabin and Dragonfly pond area.

Nuthatch

Glow-worm rise area.

Treecreeper

Near Cabin rise, on oak tree.

Dunnock

Near Cabin rise and Heathlands.

Bullfinch

Monument pond area and near hide.

Chaffinch

Monument pond.

Woodpigeon

Flying over heathlands.

Stock Dove

Seen briefly near Lake classroom.

Wren

Family of four juveniles seen on fencing by lake.

Robin

Juvenile near Log cabin and heathlands.

Moorhen

Several families of these birds still around on Kingfisher pond, Wetlands, Dragonfly pond and Lake.

Buzzard

Three soaring over Dragonfly pond. Juvenile flying with two adults (screeching to be fed) 28th July.

Jay

Glow-worm rise area.

Raven

Flying near viewpoint.

Rook

Flying over Log cabin.

Great spotted woodpecker

(Female) On dead tree near lake 5th July.

(Male) Glow-worm rise area 27th July.

Swallow

Flying around lake catching insects.

House martin

Flying very high over Log cabin.

Heron

Two adults and one juvenile flying above lake. (5th July).

Kingfisher

On Dragonfly pond. 9th July 1.30pm. (Seen by Dougal)

 

 

 Total 28 Different species

 

 Butterflies: 

   Marbled White (5th July, Heathlands), Brimstone,  Large White, Small White, Green-veined White, Ringlet, Gatekeeper, Meadow Brown, Speckled wood, Red Admiral, Comma, Small Skipper, Silver-washed Fritillary, Peacock, Painted Lady (15 Species)

 

Dragonfly: 

Golden-ringed (male), Southern Hawker

Damselfly:  

Large Red, Blue-tailed, Common Blue, Azure. Beautiful Demoiselle (male)
