Northern Stream Carr
Introduction
Stream Area
The stream area is bounded to the west by
impenetrable rhododendron. There is just enough space to walk on the western side of the
stream between the water and the rhododendron. As this side was slightly drier, the
survey was done from the western side. The ground between the stream and the Boggy Footpath was very wet and dominated by Pendulous Sedge and Brambles with several large Oak trees. The commonest plant along the banks was Opposite-leaved Golden Saxifrage.
